Connect Global is mandated to unite non-governmental organizations, policymakers, and scientific communities to address the world’s most pressing systemic challenges. Our core mission is to facilitate actionable, cross-border policies that champion human rights, environmental stewardship, and planetary resilience.
Recognizing the profound, interconnected impact of climate change on vulnerable populations, a central pillar of our current mandate is the advancement of sustainable agricultural science. We prioritize initiatives that protect vital ecosystems and ensure the resilience of global food systems. This includes dedicated advocacy and funding for critical research—such as mitigating climate stress on seed physiology and overcoming developmental limitations in staple crops—to ensure lasting global food security for the Global South.
Connect Global operates under a decentralized, democratic governance model to ensure equitable representation across all member states and civil society organizations.
The apex decision-making body, comprising accredited delegates from all participating NGOs and partner states. It convenes during the main Summit to vote on formal declarations and global resolutions.
A 12-member elected body representing six global regions. The committee meets quarterly to provide strategic direction and curate the thematic focus of upcoming summits.
To ensure absolute transparency and adherence to international diplomatic protocols, financial and operational accountability is maintained through an independent Board of Auditors and an Ethics Tribunal.
Headquartered at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, the Connect Global Secretariat serves as the permanent administrative and operational hub of the organization. Led by the Secretary-General, the Secretariat is responsible for executing the directives of the General Assembly, managing day-to-day international communications, and orchestrating logistics for the Summit.
